Eight New Restaurants In Summerville

February 2025

If you’re feeling like us, we are having a hard time keeping up with all the new food spots opening in Summerville. We’re trying them as we can and look forward to doing full reviews in the future, but for now here’s a list of what has opened so far this month (seriously, all in a couple weeks 🤯) so you can check them out yourself. We did have great experiences at Wakey Bakey, The Summit, and Biscuit Belly so far. We likely missed one, so shoot us a message if there’s one we need to add to our list.

Rotolo’s Craft and Crust Nexton

Rotolo’s opened up the last weekend in January and is off with a bang. Their restaurant offers a variety of pizza types including Detroit style pizza as well as burgers, wings, pastas, salads, soups and their famous cheese sticks.

Wakey Bakey Bagels Nexton

Wakey Bakey Bagels had their grand opening on Feb. 1st. They specialize in craft bagels with spreads and bagel sandwiches and coffees. Their sandwich options include classic bacon/sausage/egg/cheese combos and also include more interesting options like “The Lox” featuring smoked salmon, the Rueben, or the buffalo ranch chicken cutlet. Gluten free and vegan options available.

Kersey House

Opened on February 5th, Kersey House is a historic home in downtown Summerville that has been renovated to become a French Bistro and event space. Everyone who had tried it has had rave reviews so far. It’s owned by the Nico Group (also operates Laura in Summerville and other restaurants in the area). We recommend getting reservations if you want to give it a try!

đź“Ť Location: 117 W. Luke Ave., Summerville
đź“Ť Hours: Open daily 11am-8pm

Biscuit Belly

With a grand opening on February 7th, Summerville has a new biscuit spot in town. We feel a little but like we’re cheating on Vicious Biscuit, but thrilled to have a new breakfast spot downtown Summerville, especially with early opening hours. On the Biscuit Belly menu you can find biscuit sandwiches, other breakfast classics, lunch sandwiches, and kids options like mini biscuits and eggs.

đź“Ť Location: 118 West Richardson Ave., Summerville
đź“Ť Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-2pm, Saturday-Sunday 7:30am-3pm

Bruster’s Real Ice Cream

Bruster’s opened yesterday, February 13th, and is ready to serve their rotating menu of 24 flavors of ice cream, including non-dairy (oat milk) and sugar free options. All their ice cream is made fresh in store.
